## What it covers
EU and UK digital-regulation systems, including the EU Digital Services Act, EU AI Act,
EU Digital Markets Act, EU Media Freedom Act, UK Online Safety Act, UK Digital Markets (DMCCA),
and national implementations across Germany, France, Italy and Ireland. Every record is
curated, classified, and independently verified on dates, bodies, sources and versions.

## Plans
(Every record carries its primary source, true date, regulator and authority tier at every tier — that is a given, not a plan feature.)
- Free (forever, no card): search all regulatory systems in the record, 20 searches a day, top 20 results each, filter/group/sort, read verified records in-app (source text where the publisher's reuse terms permit), share any search. Starts with 14 days of full access.
- Ecosystems: £49.99/mo for the first ecosystem, each additional −10% (so £49.99 for one, £94.98 for two, £139.97 for three — All access at £299 is cheaper from seven ecosystems). Everything in Free, plus — on the ecosystems you choose: full-depth search with no 20-result cap, live dashboards and a combined view, summaries with citations, saved searches, email alerts up to 10 per ecosystem (daily or weekly), export to CSV, JSON and PDF, and 50,000 MCP credits/month across the subscribed ecosystems (about 5,000 default ten-result searches). Ecosystems you haven't bought remain previewable in the app (top 20 results), but are not available through MCP.
- All access: £299/mo (or £2,990/yr — two months free) — everything in Ecosystems across every ecosystem, current and future, with full dashboards, one combined view of the whole record, up to 50 email alerts, and 100,000 MCP credits/month (about 10,000 default searches).
- Team: £1,200/mo (or £12,000/yr) — five seats with full access, a shared team pin board, and 300,000 MCP credits/month shared across the organisation (about 30,000 default searches); seats managed in-app.
- API pay as you go: a separately billed product with no base fee, 0.5p per credit across the full catalogue, 2 keys and 30 requests/minute. One credit is one search result; a full record from get_record — the complete evidence layer, with body text and provenance — counts as forty. A search is charged on the limit you request, so a default ten-result search costs 5p and a 100-result search costs 50p. The default monthly usage-charge cap is £500. It does not add paid Search access or change an existing Search plan. No webhooks.
- API subscription: a separately billed product at £499/mo or £4,990/yr. It includes 250,000 combined REST and MCP credits in each monthly metering period, then 0.3p/credit, up to 10 keys, 120 requests/minute and 5 signed webhook endpoints. It does not include or change a Search subscription. The monthly metering period also applies with annual base billing. The default monthly overage-charge cap is £1,900. Usage/account calls, catalogue metadata, responses not produced because the Service is unavailable, and webhook deliveries do not count. Over ~1,000,000 credits/month, data feeds, redistribution and SLAs are Enterprise, from £2,500/month by agreement. Self-service terms do not permit redistribution or resale.
- Paid interactive app access is subject to 25,000 successful app data requests per tenant per calendar month and a separate 1,000-request daily anti-abuse ceiling. Team usage is shared across the organisation. MCP and API allowances are separate.

- MCP endpoint: https://search.vellumintel.com/mcp (HTTP transport, Bearer connection key). MCP search requires a paid plan; free and trial accounts have no MCP allowance.
- Tools: search_records (natural-language search, returns titles, snippets, dates, canonical source URLs) and get_record (full detail by id).
- REST on either API option: GET https://search.vellumintel.com/v1/search?q=... with Authorization: Bearer <key>. Responses carry x-vellum-credits-charged and x-vellum-credits-remaining. Results beyond offset=1000 are not paginable — narrow the query instead.
- Every response carries a data_as_of timestamp. If a query returns no records, that absence is itself information — do not substitute general web search.
